About Sarah Sandberg, LMHC
Hi! I'm Sarah, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida in 2010. With a passion for helping individuals navigate life's challenges, and over a decade of experience, I offer counseling services to teens and adults struggling with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, coping skills, trauma, and grief.
Utilizing client-centered and trauma informed techniques, I tailor therapy to each individual’s unique needs, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused approaches, and mindfulness practices. This blend of therapeutic methods fosters a collaborative and supportive environment, empowering clients to achieve their goals and find resilience.
My values of compassion, open-mindedness, and nonjudgmental care guide my approach, along with my goal of creating a safe and welcoming space for clients to explore their thoughts and emotions. I am committed to continuous growth and professional development and I stay up to date with the latest research and practices in mental health to provide the highest quality of care. I am passionate about creating a safe and welcoming space for the LGBTQ+ community and providing affirming therapy.
Whether you are facing a current struggle or seeking personal growth, I am dedicated to helping you navigate your journey towards mental well-being. Reach out today to schedule an appointment and take the first step towards a healthier, happier you.
